FYI Monday: 3D Art by Stuart Wade
This post is part of the For Your Inspiration Monday Series showcasing the most inspiring designs out there. Each week a new artist or design style will be presented in order to get your creative juices flowing for the upcoming week. I hope you enjoy the series.
Stuart Wade is a designer and visual communicator currently working in the Philadelphia area. His work is very versatile, but today I want to focus on his personal experimentation with abstract 3D art and typography. All the designs have a minimal element which works great with the explosive nature of the 3D art. For more inspiration please visit his official site as well as his Flickr page.

What excellent skill this guy has. The shapes really help explain the nature of each piece. It would be really interesting to see some of these made into real life pieces, over sized in a large gallery entrance such as the Tate Modern with some mood lighting to emphasize the angles and curves.
Amazing pieces and a great portfolio. Especially like the 3D Reel collection. His signage stands out and mimics the nature of the subject, like some pretty tasting desserts has the soft roundness with the candy pink colour, fits perfectly.
Great work, all that 3D stuff is really beautiful !
Very artistic 3D designs. I like the third one but somehow the text is not quite readable.
Inspirational design, clean, polished and totally satisfying!
A lot of these are nice but the first two images are literally just the result of a direct copy from
two tutorials at GreyScaleGorilla.com
that’s pretty lame to get credit for following a tutorial.
the rest of them are cool but who knows if he really came up with them or if they’re just other
tutorial practices.
