N1ko is a French illustrator and that’s about all I could find out about him/her. This artist makes up for the lack of information with some gorgeous mix media illustrations. One look is enough to know that there’s some serious talent involved. The works are beautifully composed, vibrant and explosive with great colour schemes all-round. Let’s hope N1ko will shed some more light on his/her personality soon. Until then I recommend you visit N1ko’s Behance profile for more inspiration. + Continue Reading

MonoRoute: Free February 2011 Calendar Wallpaper

February 2011 Thumb

This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The February 2011 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled “MonoRoute”. For once I tried to get rid of most the symmetries in the design as well as toning down all the colours. The design has been done entirely in Photoshop using only shapes and some textures for a more organic feel. I hope you like it. + Continue Reading
