Flake: Free December 2011 Calendar Wallpaper
This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The Decmeber 2011 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled Flake. I suppose the inspiration behind this one isn’t hard to crack. It’s all about winter, snow & Christmas at the moment so it made sense to come up with a related design. Truth be told, the plan was to create a minimal Christmas tree, but it turned out that you can make an even nicer snowflake by copying, rotating and scaling the same tree over and over again. As a special treat this festive season there’s 2 versions of the iPad & iPhone wallpapers available, one for the lock screen, one for the home screen. If you like it then please help spread the word.

Just wondering, how useful is deviantART in terms of being a pseudo-filehosting site? As mentioned before I plan on doing the calendarpaper thing msyelf (from Jan. onwards) so it would be handy to have a free place to store files without them taking up my Dropbox.

I killed my DA account(s) about a year ago so I’ll have to set up a new one if I go down that route. Do you actively use DA outside of downloads?
