Bold: Free August 2012 Calendar Wallpaper

This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing.

The August 2012 Calendar Wallpaper goes by the name of Bold. As with most of my personal designs this one happened by pure (rather happy) accident. I usually play around with simple geometric shapes, combining them until it appeals to me. Next step is to blend in colours or photographs, both in this case, and see where it leads.
