Jonathan Haggard updates his portfolio
A couple weeks back I featured the work of Jonathan Haggard who works under the alias of “skryingbreath”. He dropped me a mail to inform me of his newly launched portfolio at jonathanhaggard.com. It is definitely worth a look.
Featured Artist: Mike Orduna (Fatoe)
I’ve had the portfolio of Californian designer Mike Orduna bookmarked for some time now. Today I finally found some sparetime to really look into it and make a selection of his best works. Mike is better known under the alias of FATOE and his style could be described as being messy, vibrant and colourful. I’ll let you decide for yourself how you would like to characterize is. His portfolio is really extensive and his client list includes quite big names. Apart from finding his location (LA) and age (32) there wasn’t much information on him. More inspiration on www.fatoe.com
Featured Artist: Erik Soderquist
Erik Soderquist is 23 years old, comes from Tacoma Washington where he still lives and I would call him an all round artist. One of his designs has been featured in the CMYK Lovers post on fudgegraphics. Erik tries himself at retro grunge and photography with success. This is only a small selection of his portfolio. There’s much more to be seen on deviantArt. The most fascinating thing is to see his progress. Can’t wait to see new material.
Featured: Toko Design Studio
So far I’ve only featured the work of individual artists or collectives. Well today I want to present to you the amazing Australian-based design studio Toko. Toko was established in 2001 in Rotterdam (NL) and relocated to Sydney in 2006. They’ve managed to attract big clients such as New York Times, Orange, MTV and Playstation. The portfolio is filled with impressive graphic design pieces. Apart from their main homepage Toko also runs a blog called EnvironMental which showcase signage systems, environmental graphics, architecture and more.
Featured Artist: Maciej Hajnrich (nietylko)
Maciej Hajnrich is Valp’Nietylko. Born in 1981 in Poland, this graphic designer and illustrator gained enough experience to start full-time freelance in Summer 2007. Maciej has been working for clients such as Warner Music Poland, Sony Music Poland as well as directly with bands and festivals. The best thing about his portfolio is that you get an insight into the development of the individual design. By rolling over some images you’ll see the photography without any effects. If only more artists would do this.
Featured Artist: Sebastian Onufszak
In Graphics We Trust is the personal portfolio of German based visual artist Sebastian Onufszak. Since 2002 he has been working as an art director and freelancer for an inernational range of high-end clients. Furthermore is the founder of the artist collective “Propagandabuero”. Vibrant colours and busy compositions are a trademark of his, but he also knows how to create beautiful and clean graphic design.
Featured Artist: Jesse Kaczmarek
I visit the Behance network on a regular basis ever since I stumbled upon it a few weeks back. It’s incredible what great artist you discover by doing so. Today I found the portfolio of New York City based designer and art director Jesse Kaczmarek. He does a lot of branding and you’ve probably seen his work already without knowing it was him. The clean design just works. This is only a selction of Jesse’s art. See it all on his personal website.
Featured Artist: Emil Kozak
Emil Kozak is from a small town in Denmark who’s running Emil Kozak Designstudio in Barcelona, Spain. He’s passionate about skateboarding, which inspired him to start graphic design in the first place. Most of his work consists of designing boards and tees. Clean shapes, straight lines, typography and simple, yet effective colour schemes allowed him to attract clients such as VANS, Elements Skateboards and DKNY. I found him on Behance.
