I want to wish you all happy holidays and a great start in 2010. Furthermore this is a great opportunity for me to say thanks to you for all your support over the last year. You are incredible and I couldn’t have done it without you. While I started my freelance career after graduating in summer I did not write as much as I hoped. I can promise you however that this will change in 2010. I will use these festive days to come up with new ideas for freebies and tutorials.

Threadless is an online design community where users can score designs and offer comments and critiques. Threadless is also an ongoing open call for tee shirt design submissions. Anyone can sign up, download a tee template and submit ideas, which are then evaluated by the Threadless community. Tee shirt designs are selected from the pool of the most popular designs as scored by the community. I other words: Threadless offers some of the best and funniest t-shirt designs available. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Threadless here are some of my favourite t-shirt designs.

Fudgegraphics got a new look

Over the last months I’ve been busy working on the redesign of fudgegraphics and today it is finally live. As many of you know personal designs are the hardest to do because we are never truly happy and always want to make it look that more special. Hence it takes longer than expected.

So what’s new then?

The logo hasn’t changed much, after all it is the most important branding tool and I want people to still recognize the site. Same goes for the overall colour scheme, although I switched to brown tones to compliment the blue.

The main differences are the comments which got a complete new design. The social links in the sidebar now feature the fantastic icons made by Function.

Last but not least there’s finally a proper footer in place, new home to the Flickr User Showcase and Icon Blogroll.

What Now?

While the redesign is finished I’m sure there will be minor changes along the way. As I said, one is never truly satisfied and hence I know that I’ll make some changes eventually.

If you encounter any bugs or issues with the new theme please let me know. Leave a comment or use the contact box. It would be great if you could specify which browser/OS your using.
Note: If you’re using an old version of IE chances are the design will be messed up. I recommend you get rid of that horrific browser and download Firefox or Safari right now!

Anniversary Series: Fudgegraphics Turns One

A little over a year ago fudgegraphics was born. In order to celebrate this special birthday I will start the Anniversary Series. During the next couple weeks you can expect different roundup posts of all the different freebies available on fudgegraphics, the master collection of all featured artists and I will give you an insight into the journey which has been this blog. Another article will concentrate on the future of fudgegraphics. At the end there will be a massive giveaway. I am still looking for sponsors and I would love to have you on board. So please get in touch if you’re interested.

Due to exams I cannot give a definite schedule of all the different posts. Rest assured though that I will do my best to publish the articles as soon as possible. I recommend you subscribe to my RSS feed. This way you won’t miss anything.
