FYI Monday: Beautiful Typography by Marko Purac

FYI Monday Typography Inspiration by Marko Purac

This post is part of the For Your Inspiration Monday series showcasing the most inspiring designs out there. Each week a new artist or design style will be presented in order to get your creative juices flowing for the upcoming week. I hope you enjoy the series.

Marko Purac is a graphic designer & illustrator from Novi Sad. Serbia. I first came across Marko’s designs while searching for typographic inspiration online. The one thing that drew me in immediately is that Marko often uses no colour at all. There’s something special about typographic designs that solely rely on shapes and lines. It always reminds me of vintage skateboard graphics and t-shirt designs. For more inspiration make sure to visit Marko’s Flickr page. + Continue Reading

FYI Monday Jordan Gray Hidden Picture front

This post is part of the For Your Inspiration Monday series showcasing the most inspiring designs out there. Each week a new artist or design style will be presented in order to get your creative juices flowing for the upcoming week. I hope you enjoy the series.

Jordan Gray is designer, illustrator and art director from Kansas City. I first stumbled across Jordan’s work when I saw one of his gig posters. So I checked him out and loved all of his other projects too. Some of the designs are super busy with lots of colours, others are very minimal using a limited colour palette. It’s impressive to see that one person can pull off both so well while still maintaining a certain personal style. Check out some of Jordan’s work below. I’m super thrilled to announce the launch of the Fudgegraphics Apparel Line T-shirts, now available to purchase in the Fudgegraphics Store. M: Free March 2012 Calendar Wallpaper

Free March 2012 Desktop Wallpaper Thumbnail by Fudgegraphics

This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The March 2012 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled M. The geometric pattern was created using only the the letter M, duplicated and blended together to create the intricate composition of triangles. I didn’t want it to be too obvious though which is why I introduced a lot of white space into design. The colour green was chosen for accents, after all this is a spring wallpaper and it shouldn’t be too dark. Enjoy! + Continue Reading

FYI Monday: Fantastic Typography by Pornographics

FYI Inspiration Monday Typography Design by Pornographics

This post is part of the For Your Inspiration Monday series showcasing the most inspiring designs out there. Each week a new artist or design style will be presented in order to get your creative juices flowing for the upcoming week. I hope you enjoy the series.

Pornographics is creative studio based in Barcelona, founded by Salva Regas, Victor Lavega and Luis Campmajó. The studio merged with Toma78 in 2010. Pornographics did motion design, illustration and interactive media projects, but today I want to focus solely on their typographic works. The first time I came across them was through their self-initiated ‘Vintage Porn Logos’ project, which I can imagine many of you have seen before. Still, I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane and find the other designs equally as stimulating (pun intended). For more inspiration make sure to visit www.pornographics.es. + Continue Reading

FYI Monday: Retro Inspired Illustrations by Ben Newman

FYI Monday Inspiration Ben Newman Illustration

This post is part of the For Your Inspiration Monday series showcasing the most inspiring designs out there. Each week a new artist or design style will be presented in order to get your creative juices flowing for the upcoming week. I hope you enjoy the series.

Ben Newman is a freelance illustrator based in Bristol, UK. With gorgeous colour schemes and minimal, yet striking, geometrical layouts Ben really captures the essence of vintage illustrations. It often reminds me of old book and games covers. The vintage / retro feel of the illustrations, especially those involving animals, make me quite nostalgic. My favourite element has to be the colour schemes though. it’s always spot on. For more inspiration make sure to visit bennewman.co.uk. + Continue Reading
