Last Exit: Free April 2013 Calendar Wallpaper

Thumbnail April 2013 Desktop Wallpaper

This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing.

In terms of design the wallpaper combines my favourite elements: type, geometric shapes and subtle textures. After the initial sketch I build all the shapes in Illustrator. Once they were exported as individual smart objects into Photoshop all I had to do was to add the textures and adjust the colours. As always, the calendar comes in the most common resolutions for all of your iGadgets. + Continue Reading

Cut out Logo from Background in Photoshop Tutorial

To make matters worse the background is coloured which makes it even harder to cut out the logo.
