It’s an absolute pleasure to release these 11 Free High Resolution Light Grunge Textures. Each one is a stunning 3200px wide which makes them perfect for web and print purposes. I’ve recently bought a graphite stick and these textures are the result of experimenting with different surface textures. You can incorporate them into your backgrounds or use them to lightly distress your type and designs. Though I’m sure that you can think of loads more ways to use them. As always, they’re free for both personal and commercial use. You can either download each texture individually or download the whole set at the bottom of the post. Enjoy!

Free Hi-Res Grunge Border PS Brush Set + Textures

Today’s freebie set is all about grunge. It’s a pleasure to present to you the latest Photoshop brush set consisting of 11 free high resolution grunge borders. The grunge lines were created by rubbing a graphite stick over straight edges of different objects. As you can see from the banner these PS brushes are great to create grunge borders around your designs as well as to simulate hand-drawn lines. The reason why the lines are diagonal are so that I could make them as large as possible. All lines are between 3000px and 3500px in length. I know that some people prefer to work with textures which is why I made the source files available too. You can download all 11 grunge lines as a single high resolution jpg. All you need to do is cut out the line you require and paste it into your design.

I hope you can put them to good use in your commercial and personal projects. Don’t forget to share them if you like them.

This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The June 2011 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled “Rise”. Same as last month I tried to build an abstract photography scenery. It was great fun blending different photos together and playing with colour schemes to come up with this abstract design. Hannes Beer is a graphic designer from Stuttgart, Germany. For the last months he worked on The All Day Every Day Project. The idea is simple, design something new each day. What really impressed me is the dedication and quality of designs that Hannes maintains over this long period. Another cool thing is that he usually gives a short explanation as to what inspired each artwork. Most designs can be described as minimal grunge art with a vintage feel. I’m a fan! Freebie Time! I’m thrilled to release another 10 Free High Resolution “Rolled Paint” Photoshop Brushes. As promised earlier this is the 2nd set of the hugely successful Rolled Paint PS Brushes collection. These brushes are between 2470px to 2500px large which makes them ideal for both print and web projects. As always these hi-res Photoshop brushes are free for commercial and personal use. 10 Free Hi-Res Textures: Rolled Paint Grunge Set 1

It’s been a long time coming and they’re finally here. I’m please to release 10 Free High Resolution “Rolled Paint Grunge” Textures. These are the source files I used to create the Rolled Paint PS Brush Set 1. All the textures are a minimum of 3000px in size which makes them ideal for web and print purposes. You really have to view them at full size to see all the detail. You can either download each texture individually by simply clicking on the preview image or you can download the whole set at the bottom of the post.

However you choose to proceed I hope that you can put them to good use. Why not try changing the colour of them or desaturating them and then blending them into your design to give it a soft grunge effect? Using them in combination with your vector art will yield a more organic result. And don’t forget that you’re allowed to use the these in both commercial and personal projects (like any other freebies found here). Enjoy!
