The kind folks over at UPrinting got in touch with me and asked whether I’d be interested in giving away 1000 free business cards to my readers. Obviously I said yes. So here we are now. I figured it would be best to split them and offer 4 people the chance to win 250 business cards. Read the rest of this entry »

Whenever I go into London City I have to go into Urban Outfitters. It is by far my favourite clothing shop. As always I had to make a choice: which t-shirts to buy and which to leave for a later day. That’s when I decided to write a post about the great tees you can get from Urban Outfitters. Seriously, if you got the chance to visit one of their stores then do it. Apart from the great clothes they’ve got funny accessories and even sell Lomo cameras. So these are the t-shirts I’m particularly fond of. Which one do you like best?

Greig Anderson is a 26 year old graphic designer from Glasgow, Scotland. He showcases all his work at effektivedesign.co.uk. You’ve probably seen some of his great graphics already but I just had to feature him on fudgegraphics. I immediately fell in love with the designs when I first saw his cassette button sets. His imagination is sheer amazing. As always I only showcase some of the best works. Usually there are pieces in one’s portfolio that I don’t like that much, but when it comes to Greig Anderson there isn’t a single piece that isn’t fantastic! I even enjoyed reading his biography. It’s witty and informative. I predict a great future for this fairly young graphic designer.

I don’t make a secret out of it: I am addicted to tea and coffee. So what better way to prove my love for these delicious brews than showcasing some of the best mug designs. Some of these are clever, some funny and others just plain gorgeous. When I started researching extraordinary mugs I didn’t realise that there were so many unique designs out there. These are the ones I found and like for one of the above mentioned reasons. In case you’re wondering, I drink my tea the British way.

MyCuppa comes in two versions: for tea and coffee. Whoever is on brewing duty, you’ll always get your drink just the way you like it. Buy at SuckUK.

The Messenger Mug lets you write and your mug and erease it later. Leave a note for your special one or use it as a post-it. Either way you can buy it from Heal’s. Read the rest of this entry »

I often go into large music stores to see what new music has emerged. Although online stores might be more convenient I enjoy flicking through CDs and vynils. Every now and then a particularly appealing album cover draws my attention. I might know the band and like their music, or not. Anyways, yesterday was such a day where i spent about an hour browsing through album covers seeking that eye-catching artwork. I got lucky and found a few real gems which I want to share with you. Unfortunately it wasn’t easy to find good quality pictures of the artworks. So please forgive me for some pixelated pictures.

Hugo fragrances has launched a design contest a couple months back and right now the 3rd round of 4 is open for submissions until the 5th of July. The theme of round 3 is “City Sounds”. In each round the top 10 designs get 500$ each. I’d say that is a good reason to participate. Even if you’re new to design you can still enter. The Hugo Create Site has a design generater which allows you to use background templates and design elements such as swirls and arrows to complete your entry. Go ahead and play with it. It’s good fun and inspires at the same time. Obviously the quality ranges from low to high. These are some of my favourite entries.

Apparently this isn’t news. Well I don’t care. I’ve discovered it just now and I think it is brilliant. ABC3D is an alphabet pop-up book. Just watch for yourself. Read the rest of this entry »

I visit the Behance network on a regular basis ever since I stumbled upon it a few weeks back. It’s incredible what great artist you discover by doing so. Today I found the portfolio of New York City based designer and art director Jesse Kaczmarek. He does a lot of branding and you’ve probably seen his work already without knowing it was him. The clean design just works. This is only a selction of Jesse’s art. See it all on his personal website.
