This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The February 2011 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled “MonoRoute”. For once I tried to get rid of most the symmetries in the design as well as toning down all the colours. The design has been done entirely in Photoshop using only shapes and some textures for a more organic feel. I hope you like it. + Continue Reading
It’s been a long time coming and they’re finally here. I’m please to release 10 Free High Resolution “Rolled Paint Grunge” Textures. These are the source files I used to create the Rolled Paint PS Brush Set 1. All the textures are a minimum of 3000px in size which makes them ideal for web and print purposes. This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The January 2011 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled “Sync”. The design is very minimal and geometric. This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The December 2010 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled “Looking Glass”. As you can see I’m a big fan of geometric shapes and once again have chosen to go with a minimal circular design. I used a couple stock photos of winter landscapes and mixed them with different vector overlays to give it more depth. In terms of colour scheme I went with cool blues and greens which nicely reflect the season upon us (as a matter of fact we had the first snow in London while I was working on this). Feel free to leave a comment with your feedback and if you like it then why not share it with your friends. Thanks! + Continue Reading
This post is part of the free calendar wallpaper series. Each month I create a new wallpaper featuring the current calendar. Looking at the same image over and over again is not very stimulating. Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The November 2010 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled “Fallen Leaves” as a reference to the start of Autumn. I chose the colour palette to reflect these leaves falling from the trees. Using the circles I tried to convey the idea of seasons coming and going, blending into each other seamlessly. So there you go, that’s the concept behind the design. I hope you like it. Feel free to leave a comment with your feedback and to share it with your friends. Thanks! + Continue Reading

Hence having a new desktop background each month should help getting your creative juices flowing. The October 2010 Calendar Wallpaper is entitled “Low25″. It plays a lot with symmetries and uses a few different stock photos of mountains. The blue colour palette was chosen to remind us the coming colder months. It’s a bit different from my usual designs so I hope you like the minimal approach. Feel free to express your thoughts in the comment section. Thanks. + Continue Reading
It’s with great pleasure that I release this freebies set containing 64 free Illustrator Brushes of pen marker strokes and scribbles. They’re great to give any design a more natural, hand-drawn look. All brushes are of the highest quality and you’re free to use them in both personal and commercial works. They are compatible with Illustrator versions from CS upwards. It’s worth mentioning that with brushes like these the best results can sometimes be attained by setting the stroke to 0.25px or less. + Continue Reading
